Sorbent

Sorbent Nonwoven Textile

In our Gaziantep-based production facility, we develop multi-layered sorbent solutions for industrial liquid management by blending the superior absorption power and robust, non-deforming texture of Meltblown fabrics with our ultrasonic bonding technology.

With over 20 years of experience, we can integrate up to 6 different layers of Meltblown fabric on our 160 cm wide modern ultrasonic bonding line. Thanks to our online perforation system, we offer both crosswise and lengthwise perforation possibilities, and we also perform single-sheet cuts upon request. Our sorbent products provide a unique structure for the rapid absorption of hazardous liquids, ensuring a safe working area in your business. With their practical use, flame retardancy, easy storage, and recyclable forms, we offer a much more efficient Turkish-made alternative to traditional absorbent materials.

Sorbent Product Details

As Microfiber Tekstil, we offer our Meltblown-based sorbents in roll or sheet form with different layer and pattern alternatives.

Our sorbents trap liquids very quickly and in high proportions thanks to the large surface area provided by the micron-level fine fiber structure of the Meltblown fabric. With our multi-layer ultrasonic bonding technology, absorption performance and mechanical strength increase in direct proportion as the number of layers increases.

They are preferred in many industrial areas such as factory floors, under-machine leaks, chemical spill intervention, and medical liquid absorption. Our hydrophobic products, which only attract oil and hydrocarbon-based liquids and repel water, become a critical solution partner in challenging operations such as sea and port pollution (marine type).

You can tear off and use as much as you need with our perforated roll forms, and you can get a practical experience with pre-cut pads from a minimum of 20 cm to a maximum of 60 cm in our sheet forms. The Dimple and Little Dot pattern options we offer in both forms meet your operational needs with different retention and absorption capacities.

Areas of Use

Walk-on pads for factory and workshop floors, under-machine protectors, indoor liquid management systems, medical liquid absorbers, chemical spill control pads, marine-type sea pollution intervention products, and industrial cleaning cloths.

Frequently Asked Questions

01. How does the number of layers in sorbent products affect sorption performance?

Each additional Meltblown layer increases the absorption capacity by increasing the total fiber surface area. A 2-layer pad is sufficient for light leaks, while 4-6 layer constructions offer ideal performance for heavy industrial leaks and chemical response applications. Together with our technical team, we can determine the optimum number of layers according to the amount of absorption required by your application.

Standard sorbent products absorb all liquids, both water and oil based, and are suitable for indoor and general purpose use. Hydrophobic sorbent products repel water and absorb only oil and hydrocarbon based liquids. This feature provides a critical advantage in marine applications such as collecting oil pollution floating on the sea surface, harbor and coastal cleaning.

Both patterns are dot patterns that join the fabric layers during ultrasonic bonding. The Dimple pattern creates larger and sparser bonding dots, giving the fabric high bulkiness and absorption capacity. The Little Dot pattern, on the other hand, provides more homogeneous surface distribution and high mechanical strength with denser and finer bonding dots. The appropriate pattern is selected according to whether the priority of the application is absorption or durability.
